Can anyone give me a review on this rifle Panther™ LR-308. I am looking for an AR type .308 that has a 24" barrel, your comments are appreciated!

How is the recoil is it less considering its an AR type? Less when compared to lets say a M1A?

I've shot both the LR-308 and the M1A. Both of them have very mild recoil for a .308; I think a normal adult could put 100 rounds through either one without fatigue.

There are many write-ups on the LR-308, please do a search. There are also reviews at several sites including Gunblast.com. It is a good solid rifle, one of the most economical .308 semi-auto platforms that will be reliable and offers a magazine with more than 4 or 5 rounds of capacity. (Yes, people will almost immediately chime in to say that a Saiga 308 or a PTR-91 is better; that's nice.) For the uses that 99% of us put rifles to, like hunting and target shooting, it is a great rifle with few drawbacks. I probably wouldn't pack one for a long trip through Afghanistan, but I assume that's not your intent.

A friend has one (LR308 TAC 20") and let me try it out. I was very pleased to get 1.5" with 5 shots at 105 yds. This was from an unsteady wooden bench downhill. I'd love to try it out again from a real benchrest. My friend says he'll give me a call next time he's going to a range. Wahoo! He said he was very pleased with it so far and has put ~ 300 rds through it.:D

I have an LR-308, A3 upper with a 20" barrel. With the carry handle replaced with a riser and scope, it groups at just under 1" with 3 shots at 100 yds. Shooting from a sturdy bench with a bipod. Have not tried shooting with the open sights yet. When I purchased the rifle, I also purchased 10) 19rd mags, giving me 12 total. Have only used 2 mags with rifle, just wanted extras in case. Bought it in January and have only put 97 rounds down the pipe. Hope this helps.
