dpms 7.62 sportical

been resaerching the 308 ar type rifles and ran across the sportical. since it is considerably "cost effective" cheaper i was wondering if any out there have experience with the sportical. have read many reviews and threads about the panther 308 line and am more than likely going with the dpms rifle, not sure if the sportical or the lr 308 with a 20" barrel. another thing i would like to know is if the 16" barrel will affect range out to ~500 yards. this will primarily be a paper puncher rifle. although i want something shtf capable. sorry so long thanks in advance

I can not answer any questions reguarding .308 or the barrel length. Except that the sportical has a lightweight barrel, which isn't the best for tight long range groups.

I do have a Sportical 5.56 and am very pleased. The quality is there. I would surely reccomend it. My understanding is that if you do your part and shoot quality ammo, the rifle will shoot 1.5 moa or less. That goes for an DPMS as far as I know...
