I have the opportunity to purchase a used Para 7.45 LDA and am having trouble finding any info on it.

I read they might have discontinued when Para Ordnance moved to US and changed to Para USA.

If anyone has one, or has shot one, can you help me out with an opinion and info?

LDAs are still listed on the website...

I bought one on a whim several years ago. Just another pistol to me now. Only problem I had out of it was the extractor, not uncommon on pre-PXT Paras.

I have detail stripped about every firearm I own, with the exception of my LDA...

Their website doesn't show anything under the LDA link. Opinons on a DAO 1911?

My only expierence was with a double stack lda. It was a range rental. But I was impressred with accuracy and reliability. Especially since it was a compact.

Its on my short list of pistols to own.

I owned a stainless LDA C7.45 for several years. It functioned extremely well for a compact 1911-type pistol and the LDA trigger system is about the very easiest to learn to hit quickly and well with that I've ever run into.

The only changes I made to it (it was a "base" model; much less fancy than the on in your picture) were an ambi thumb safety (I'm a southpaw, and old habits die hard) and a set of XS "Big Dot" tritiums. It made a fine CCW, and if someone else hadn't wanted it badly enough to offer me a very considerable amount more than I had in it, I'd still have it.
