Does anyone make an aftermarket front sight to fit the Para dovetail? I had a Para SSP when they first came out with them and it was an excellent pistol as far as accuracy and reliability go. The only problem with it was it shot about 4" low. I never did fix it and ended up selling it. I have another one, the new covert black one and it shoots 4" low as well. I don't think it's the gun, I seem to shoot all 5" GM's about 4" low and I'm not flinching. Anyhow, with my Springfields they sent me the proper sight and didn't balk about it. With the last Para I think they wanted me to send the slide or gun in and let them correct it. I can have my friend Dave Clay recut the dovetails for about $30 bucks and put Novak sights on it but if I can find an aftermarket front sight that works I'd rather go that route first. I emailed Para and will try and call them again tomorrow but I suspect they will want me to send in the gun and I'm not gonna do that. If anyone has any aftermarket suggestions that will fit that little Para dovetail I'd appreciate it. Thanks

I called Para and they referred me to Brownells. I took a quick glance at the Novak sight and it seems they now make a set of sights for Paras. I will call them in the morning and might order their adjustable rear Lo-Mount...will just have to see what they offer. After that a set of coyote tan Simonich Gunner Grips and this pistol will be perfect for an all around workin' gun.
