I've got a Para GI Expert. With the factory sights, it is sighted with what I've heard called a "combat" hold - front post covers where you want to hit. I'd like to change that to where the POI is even with the top edge of the front post or even a tiny bit of a 6:00 hold. Would really rather not go to adjustable sights, want to keep it simple.
Anyways, the front sight dovetail measures 0.200" wide at the base by 0.080" deep. Is this any kind of standard 1911 dovetail and what would it be called? All the sights I'm seeing are for a Novak cut, but this dovetail is definitely NOT 0.33" wide.
