With duck season still a little bit away I have a little bit of time to make a few preparations that I've had on my list this off season. I recently made the switch to a Beretta 390 and retired my dependable 870. So now I'm looking to improve my Beretta's pattern a little bit by upgrading to an aftermarket choke.
I'm from Texas and with Houston as close as it is, there seems to be nothing like a set of Briley choke tubes. But I frequently hunt with a friend who swears by the Patternmaster.
The cost difference is only around a $10 difference. So I am looking for advice from anyone who shoots a patternmaster, a briley extended ported choke (because I don't actually know anyone who was the ported extended model) who might be able to point me in the right direction. If anyone has had experience shooting each tube, that would be great.
Thanks for your advice.
