I have a Henry golden boy rimfire rifle and bifocals that make useing the open sights a PITA to use. Has anyone mounted a peep on theirs and what type/model did you use?It seems that a tang sight would be the correct way to go.

Marble's makes a tang sight specifically for the Golden Boy. Installation requires drilling & tapping the tang. I've purchased one for my Golden Boy but I haven't had it installed yet. For whatever it's worth, the sight appears to be nicely made.
I have a Henry and was looking into the Marbles tang sights. They appear to be very high quality but the installation looks to HAIRY. You have to drill and tap your gun and is probably best left to someone like an experienced gunsmith. After reading a horror story on rimfirecentral.com about some guy's rifle getting abused and dinged up at the gunsmith, I have abandoned the idea of installing the tang sight for now. Maybe if I ever find someone trustworthy enough locally (like that's gonna happen).
