If you thought the McCain-Feingold Atrocity was bad, look at what Nancy Pelosi has in store for us.

Who among us has any doubt we are being set up for dictatorship, and that our rights - all of them - are being eroded, abridged, and infringed to that end? This smacks of Fascism, Totalitarianism, with a sprinkling of Nazism thrown in for good measure. It's as if she and her willing accomplices in Congress and their backers have chosen the worse aspect of those three(and maybe other) despotic forms of government and rolled them into one hideous doctrine of their own for their own self aggrandizement and tenure in office.

This cannot be allowed, my friends. This is antithetical to the very existence of this great nation of ours, our freedom, and the rights that keep it all ours.

Honestly, I'm not too worried about that one, at least not now. Everyone understands now that McCain-Feingold was a joke designed around people who wanted to use its exceptions. The dems don't want to do a lot of boat-rocking for the next two years, they want to bring calm to the storm, they don't want people thinking about controversial legislation in '08.

She's engaged in the same partisan bickering that the Republicans were in control of the past few years. So they're politicians, all of them. You expected differently?

And please cite your source for the three-day waiting period. I see no mention of that in the article or anywhere else.

Can you provide a source?

It seems to me that McCain-Feingold started to nail the coffin lid on, anything the Pelosi does can be likened to shovelling the dirt into the grave.

Now now. This is the High Road, so we won't point out there is more plastic in her face than in a Glock 21 either. :evil:

Clearly we are going to have to hope the nefarious plans of the anti gun Democrat leadership will be stopped by Republican fillibusters in the Senate.

Well, that's why the Dems passed on Pelosi as a leader ... they want people like Pelosi to be pushing their change agenda onto America, while the figurehead Dems make speeches about how moderate they are.
 
Free speech?

That train left the station a long time ago. The first time I saw the "free speech zones" being set up as large cages outside the Repub and Dem conventions in about 2000 I knew that none of the current or future leaders cared about the First Amendment. And if the leader ship doesn't care about the BOR and most citizens don't care, the bureacracy works against it...then the only thing left is a few knotheads like me walking around like dinosaurs after the comet hit who can't figure out where everyone else has gone.

just because it is one sided doesn't mean the news itself isnt valid, or that the facts are not true. . . no weapons, no mobilisation / speech, no organization, etc And don't forget that the repub's slammed through part one of all this stuff. Where are good men to lead the nation?

Forgive me but I am doing all I can to keep Ohio from becoming anything closer to what California is than what we already are. The idea is unnecessary. We already have the instant check. A waiting period is cause more headaches, add expense for shipping and to discourage sales.

Well, look at the bright side. You want to know when the stuff hits the fan? When THR is off the air and so are a lot of the talk radio people, felled by "The Fairness Doctrine" and whatever new atrocities they can get away with. You will know The Terror has begun and the fun & games are over.

How come that people tell me again, and again, and again, that we are a FREE country?

Which that people? erm...I digress.

Because we have the right to keep and bear arms.

Because we can rock out, or mellow jazz, our way into downtown to remind ourselves why we live in the sticks. :D

Because I am not arrested for going to my little church, or not.

Because a black man can sit next to a white, and be served first if he was there first.

Only my native brothers still experience oppression on a deep and profound level it seems. (Hopi in particular)

And even though we are messed up, we are still on the bright side of the valley, the Sun won't eclipse us until our thoughts, speech, and weapons, are stolen by the power hungry and fearful.

This is the real objective of the bill to help cut down on organizations such as THR and the NRA, among many other groups. The other parts will definitly be worked around by the Democrats somehow. For example, instead of using a corporate jet, they will charter an airliner. Just watch. The parts about disclosing who wants the earmarked spending and such won't matter- because the general public does not pay attention to such matters...

Wait for a resurrection of the Fairness Doctrine to kill off what's left of Talk Radio and other alternative media sources...

Bad JuJu ahead...
