According to a notice sent out by PSP, the states InstaCheck will be shut down for 4 days in Sept.
Period above referenced is as follows. Shut down starts at 6 PM, 2 Sept. and runs through Noon, 6 Sept. No firearms transactions will be cleared during this period.
If PSP does not not get it's act together, who knows how long this InstaCheck shut down might last, while they "implement a new computerized criminal records data base".
Due to computer problems, I cannot post a copy of the PSP notice, however I thought that some readers might find this of interest, given the past performances of the PSP, remember Stollenwerk, and the PSP's demand for Social Security Numbers?
