Quaker Oatmeal? How am I supposed to eat healthy? That stuff is the cornerstone to my healthy eating. I don't mind giving up things I dont' feel I should be eating anyway

Try the Walmart brand & "Doctor it up" a bit.

I respectfully disagree, and could not do so more strenously. One can either live by their principles or compromise them. I don't like a particular brand of ice cream so much, for example, that I'm going to allow them to use *my* money to fight against me. Same goes with restaurants, particular lines of clothing, etc.

I feel much better living by my principles than telling myself why it's not practical to do so. Sometimes one must find a reason to do something important, rather than accepting all the reasons why they can't.

With the exception of local telephone service, I can PROUDLY claim to boycott ALL the above co's; including Pepsi......:D

I have been boycotting Pepsi for years. It has nothing to do with any of their politics. I just can't respect ANY company that would hire Micheal Jackson. :D

That does it. No more pizza hut. Papa John's for me now.

Please note Henry Bowman's post. Pepsi sold Pizza Hut long ago. I've been to a few Huts that sold Coke instead of Pepsi. Choice of beverage at the Huts is totally dependent on the owner's decision.

Having worked 38 years for Coca-Cola, I view Pepsi as part of the "Evil" Empire  Besides their headquarted in NYC the Bastion of freedom.(Right) Coke is headquarted in Atlanta, a gun friendly state..

Being a Southern Boy I have my loyalities :D

I used to work for a major Hospital, talk about politics - Pepsi got the contract. If an employee visually displayed "another product" from a Pepsi competitior, they would / could be written up and this placed in personal file.

Lots of folks brought their own lunch including sodas. In the main OR we had a HUGE fridge in our lounge. So we just removed the labels, or covered them up. At the time .75 a soda gets expensive, they are now $1.10.

The "blue" screw on lids do fit the "red" containers though...:p

Burden of proof on the "political" minded mgmt as to what the product was without the label and the "proper" color top, when they "inspected" various departments with pen and pads in hand.

Some of the Surgeons offered "free implants" of soda cans and bottles to many higher ups in this political /money deal.

Bryan, you got it wrong. Its "father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate."
</Spaceballs> :D ;)

Who made that man a gunner!?!?
</Dark Helmet>

God I love that movie.

Tell ya what Mike, get back to me when you finish combing the desert. Oh, and don't forget to change the combination on your luggage. :)

Hey Realleycat. Ha I say, ha! Our colors are red, white and blue, emphasizing the Blue, the colors of Freedom. Yours is Red and white, emphasis on Red, the color of Commies. :neener:

Seriously, Pepsi is a great company to work for. I suspect Coke is as well.

I know people who REALLY took the rivalry seriously. We called them Cola Warriors. I never really got worked up over it, but I do like to make the jokes. We referred to "The C-Word" as if it were profanity. Heck, we had a Coke-logoed speed-bag out in the warehouse for people to punch as they walked by.

For those who haven't been there, believe me - some people really get serious about it. When I worked for Pepsi it was frowned upon if you wore a red shirt. I heard the same was true at Coke regarding blue shirts. The conditioning works, though. After 15 years of working there I reflexively order Pepsi at restaurants even if I KNOW they serve Coke products.

Anyway, the anti-gun story about Pepsi is BS. Feel free to drink their products. Please. I don't work there anymore but my old 401K is still there.

We had a punching bag with a Pepsi T shirt on it for the drivers to swing at on there way to the warehouse:D

I was on good terms with my "Friendly" competitors. Pepsi has a good product, but just not for me.

pepsi does not own pizza hut, tacobell, or kfc any more. they were sold in 1998 or 99 to tricon global which then putchased long john silvers and a&w rootbeer/hotdogs and more and then changed the name from tricon to yum brands..

Hospital doesn't allow other than PepsiCo products?

Out of the blue, anonymously walk in with several cheap coolers (on a hot day, of course) full of Coca-Cola and assorted products marked "free drinks".

Let's see how much the hospital staff appreciates that :)

Guys I need my daily Pepsi like some people need a Cig. I doubt I could last much more then a week without the refreshing tastes of my favorite Cola. I would never boycot pepsi unless they were start their own Renew the ban website or something similar.

I've actually seen two fellows, one working fore Coke and the other for Pepsi, duke it out. I didn't see the end of the fight... but I'm sure Coke won. :D

Anyways, I've sorta heard this before but never seen a source. And I've scoured the net, so you sissy Pepsi drinkers can kick back your sugar water without any worries. ;)

I think ducktapehero has it right....................................

even IF Pepsi has no anti-gun leanings........................

They DID Sponser Micheal Jackson and STILL Sponser that wuss Jeff Gordon.......................that's ALL the reason I need to boycott them! :what: :uhoh:

... and STILL Sponser that wuss Jeff Gordon.

I'm not a NASCAR fan but I've always wondered about why people dislike Gordon. Because he's not "country" enough? Because he's a pretty-boy who goes out and wins? And wins. And wins. And wins ... :neener:

He's an arrogant little punk who promoted his religion when he was winning and then turned his back on it and insulted it when he lost.

When i worked at a grocery store i found that the distributers for coke and pepsi could get pretty nasty when it came to fighting over shelf space. I had to pick up one or the other's product off the floor if it so much as hinted at crossing the border b/t the two. We solved the problem by putting all the "Royal Crown" type products inbetween them. Those RC guys couldnt care less where their product went, they just wanted to set it up and go home.

Why give your money to these companies when there are way better alternatives? Who cares if it's not practical? That's why the left wins and we lose on so many fronts. As far as the actors, big deal; there's way more to do instead of watching people do something.

I actually do boycott all those. The only hitch is my girlfriend loves Ben and Jerry's. But, I'm working on that one.

Quoted from THIS LINK in Bubble's post:

Around 350 people attended the banquet from the Salvation Army and community leaders. Among the people present were representatives of the local banks, insurance, governments and the major business. Also present was the guest speaker who is the C.E.O. of PepsiCo (Pepsi, Taco bell, Pizza Hut, etc.)

I was especially proud to have our club announced to be a leader in fundraising with this person present because PepsiCo used to be a major contributor to gun control causes.

This event took place on March 28, 2000 at the Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club. So, whatever stance PepsiCo used to have, it looks like they're pro-RKBA now. Which is very good, 'cause Mello Yello just can't compare to good pure Mountain Dew. (ducking under my desk)
