How do you propose to keep society safe from those who fail a mental health check when attempting to buy a gun or attain a permit? There are many ways to kill or hurt people, or to harm society in general, without a firearm. If you identify someone who is too mentally unstable to own or carry a firearm, how do you protect society from them?

Give me a good firm, well filled out answer to this question. Otherwise I'll have to consider you a clueless moron who'd rather punish the law abiding than deal with the problem.

I did explain when background checks and psychiatric evaluation is approved and the person passed that and the written tests and everything is submitted for police approval, the police cannot deny you a conceal carry permit. Basically it is a shall issue regime.

The country were I was born and grew up was founded in 1871. Only ten years later, that country, Germany, had universal health care and paid sick leave. The Netherlands, Scandinavia, and most of Europe have socialized health care, not medicine . Sorry, if I do not understand what you mean by medicine but I speak more languages than you have fingers on one hand and none of those really well.

How would you finance socialized health care in the U.S.? How would you reimburse American doctors for their tuition, which amount to hundreds of thousands of Dollars, while European universities do not cost tuition? Have you thought about that or are you just looking for your own advantage and a free ride?

The criminals fail to follow the ultra restrictive gun laws there and are killing each other and innocents in record numbers. All other violent crimes are up significantly as well. The law abiding need to jump through hoops to be able to defend themselves and the poor can't afford the fees for FOIDs and CC permits. I understand you wanting to dismiss it as it proves your ideas have no merit.
