Personal Defense TV - Gone?

I have DirecTV and get the Outdoor Channel. I've got the Tivo all set up with a season pass for Personal Defense TV. It stopped recording it a couple months ago. I figured they were taking a break till the new season. But nothing has appeared yet and when I did a search, Personal Defense TV is not available on DirecTV.

Am I missing something here? Did it get canceled or something? Or is DirecTV no longer carrying it for some reason?

Help me out! I really like this show.

Last I heard they were producing new episodes. Try contacting Guntalk here, he's the guy behind the show.

They ran all 13 episodes twice, and now it's on hiatus. Once they have new episodes finished, they will start airing again. I think Mr. Gresham said it would be in the fall.

If I recall correctly he mentioned recently on guntalk that the outdoor channel will repeat last season starting in July due to viewer requests. He is currently working on episodes for next season.

Sorry for not picking up on this thread. Been really busy.

I'm in New Hampshire tonight, shooting segments for PDTV with Massad Ayoob.

We have shot with Clint Smith at Thunder Ranch, and spent almost a week at Gunsite.

The new series begins in October, but the news is good. Because so many people complained about PDTV being off the air (it was a scheduled hiatus), TOC is going to run the first season again, starting next month!!

Oh, wait until you see the show on predator defense. Talking 4-legged predators. Charging bear target was fun!

And, the poor, poor rental car.

Why not a show show casing the smaller local trainers and what they have to offer those on time or budget's

We did spend a couple of days at the Firearms Academy of Seattle, doing segments with Marty and Gila Hayes. I wanted to show that there are good trainers across the country.

They have a nice training center, and it's quite affordable. Great people, too.

I loved the show. By itself, it was a good enough reason to pay the up-charge for DVR on my cable box, because it aired in the middle of the day. I guess the time slot was to catch the soccer moms tired of General Hospital.

I know there is probably a deal with TOC, but I have DirecTV and do not get the Outdoor Channel. I have the second deal, not just the basic package but one step up so I get the Military Channel, etc but still no TOC. Any way to have these shown as re-runs somewhere else? The History Channel and some of those show some good shows on guns and the history of them, etc. Probably can't be done, but either way thanks for making shows like this even if I can not see them!

You can add the Outdoor Channel as a single channel to your package with Direct TV for $1.99 a month.

I had the same problem when a lot of the shooting and fishing shows I enjoyed moved from the outdoor life channel to the OC.

The first Direct TV sales rep said I had to "upgrade" my entire package. Later I called again and was told adding a single channel was no problem. So keep trying till you get someone there with half a brain.
