Honestly I'd be happy with any remington 700 with a synthetic stock and a free floating 24 or 26 inch heavy barrel. Its pretty hard to screw up as long as you stick to that formula.
I've handled savages and was not impressed with the lack of fit and finish compared to the 700s they just seemed rough. I'm sure they're an alright rifle, but the 700 seems to be a bit more smoothed out.
My friend just bought an FN PBR. It seems like a pretty tough rifle so far and capable of decent accuracy. The stock trigger is a bit heavy for my tastes and I would rather have a non-fluted heavy barrel instead of the fluted tappered one that is on it. I guess I'm just used to remington 700s.
