Pets named after guns?

We nicknamed one of our pistols after one of our pets. We have an iguana that will run on his hind legs. I had a set of camo grips made for my CZ 83, and part of the white in the grip looks like a lizard running, so we nicknamed the CZ "The running lizard".

Yup!

My sister has a yellow lab named Remington and dad has a GSD named Lugie (Short for luger)

The 1st time I was in Iraq my tank company adopted a sickly mutt. She lived on 3 MREs a day. She ended up having pups. So we named them Track pad, Gun Tube, Sabot, HEAT. The medics named there 2 IV, pneumothorax (sucking chest wound). I know these aren’t guns but funny any way

My boxer is named Sonny, after Sonny Liston (another famous boxer).

That's funny! My friend got his boxer and he asked me what I thought he should name him. I said Cassious. (Cassious Clay AKA Mohamed Ali) That's what he called him until the end. Good dog too!

We also have a black cat named "Blackie" My then 4 year old daughter named him. I call him Kid Mause! short for Mauser. He hunts with the best of them and is as accurate as can bee too! Good cat!

Had a Boston terrier named 20 Gauge. Now have a Brittany named Buckshot. One year old Brittany worse than having a 4 year old and a teenager. Never saw so much energy.

I haven't had any myself--all my doggies have had "people" names--but have come across more than a few that other people had. Off the top of my head, I have seen dogs named Ruger, Colt, and Remi (Remington). There's a horse in my mind somewhere with a gun name too, but I can't remember what it was. Personally, I've always thought an awesome "official name" for a horse (if I understand it correctly, pure breed horses have the same kind of national registries that dogs do, including the sometimes-goofy names that people choose for them) would be "Winchester AA" or "2 At Low 8". Yeah, I'm a clay target fanatic.

Don't ask me what you would call a horse named "2 At Low 8" for short("Skeeter", maybe?)...at least the other name can be shortened to "Chester"! These are the kinds of thoughts that keep me on the skeet field, and not running equestrian farms. :D

Also have a dog named Buddy. Had a cat named Colt but he destroyed to much so he lives with the inlaws now.

My girlfriend and I got a female black lab. Kids wanted to call it Princess (No way am i yelling princess out the front door) We settled on Beretta :)

My last doberman was named "Gunner".

We were to get a companion for him, a miniature pincher, to be named Derringer.

But Gunner passed before we did.:(

RIP Gunner

Well I never named an animal after a gun but we have a mille fleur rooster that does tricks named "stunt cock", pun very much intended. Also a cat that will retrieve downed starlings to you named pig, and 2 barn cats named Cat and Other Cat. Had another named 3rd cat but he had an unfortunate encounter with a mosin after he ate one of stunt cock's hens.
