Philadelphia: Man comes home to find intruder and Shoots

The incident started around 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of West Montrose.
Police say the homeowner came home and found a man inside the house. The two got into a struggle and the homeowner shot the intruder.

That's an area between "South Philly proper" and Center City, where a good deal of marginally middle class housing has been rebuilt on cleared-off lots, in close proximity to some areas of comparatively high poverty that are in and around the commercial area along Washington Avenue, north and slightly east of what is referred to as Grays Ferry. It's no wonder that the area sees crime, especially not now, in the weeks leading up to the end of the year holidays.

If the shoot was justifiable, no matter how much it galls certain parties, Lynne Abraham should have no business considering charges.
