Most of the Buckmasters closed out for $99-149 when they were discontinued, half of their retail price prior to being discontinued, and there's no longer any warranty on any of them, so they kinda just hang around at about the same as their discontinued/clearance pricing.
I abhor Nikon scopes, however, terrible lensing, and I despise their company political leanings even moreso, so personally, in your shoes, I would part with it at whatever price I could get, and would NOT keep it around for other projects (which IS what I did with the few Buckmasters I had bought, despite my better judgement, during those clearance sales).
