Nice! I've owned two 29's and one 629 snub , there's nothing quite like a smith .44 in your hands and dare I say , not even the feek of an actual Colt SAA feels quite as good to me.Hope they shoot well.

Very nice additions. I too love the 44 magnums. My third gun purchased was a S&W 629-1 and it is still one of my favorites to this day.

Nice score with the two Model 29s. Had a Model 629 years ago but my favorite N frame was a .41 Magnum Model 57 with a 4" barrel. That gun was sweet!

Eastbank, no reason those two shouldn't shoot well as they look great! You lucky dog!

Nice find some people have all the luck. Curious did you find these in a local shop or online? I ask because I used to be able to walk in my local shops which are plenty and find many used or unfired revolvers but now you do not see any.

Over the decades I've owned 629s, 29-2s and later 29s. The only one I've managed to keep is my very first 6.5" blued 29-2. I do love that revolver....

Nice! First thing with my N-frames is to sideline those massive target grips. My hands aren't big enough. I know they are valuable, so I just keep a box of "original grips" to support any resales or inheritances.

my two other older 29,s P&R, a 6.5" and a 8-3/8". eastbank.

And here I thought I was the only one with that problem.

i also take the big grips off when i shoot them and put mostly pacmyers on. eastbank.

I agree; have yet to find any S&W factory wood grips fit my hand comfortably. Same with the ones that use to come with the Ruger Security Six. Best factory wood grips I ever used were on my Colt Trooper Mk. V.

Many of us love the looks and feel of wood stocks but don't care for the size and shape of some of them. These Pachmayr Presentation grips are about the same size as the S&W target grips but for me the Pachmayrs are flatter and easier to get a decent grip on versus the S&W target stocks.

The older S&W Diamond grips were not as bad. That was when Bangor Punta Sugar owned S&W. Bangor owned Peps-Cola. The Diamond grips were called "Pepsi" Grips back then.
