Well, I picked up the AirLite Model 396 .44 Special yesterday and while waiting for the Federal background check to go through I wandered over to the used gun counter and noticed a 6-inch Model 586-2 in better than 95% condition (just a slight drag line on the cylinder) for $350.00. Well after handling this fine L-frame I couldn't resist, so I put it on lay away - my wife, son & I are going to Hawaii next Friday and my wife would absoultely skin me alive if came home another firearm just before the vacation.
Did I do OK? Also the side plate had some laser type engraving about being an Anniversary Model - I think it was the for 132nd Anniversary of S&W, but not completely sure of the exact year. Anyway I didn't buy it for collecting, I bought it to shoot it & enjoy it. Thanks for listening to my rant - swbinak
