Picked up a gorgeous BHP today!

So I couldn't resist picking up this little beauty today! It's a Belgian made Browning Hi Power and it looks like it just left the factory! I paid $610 for it so I think I got pretty good deal on it!

Yep, that looks like a keeper for sure. I love my Hi Power, even more after getting rid of the magazine disconnect.

Wow, and I was thinking "BHP" stood for Blond Haired Pretty.

But you know what? I'm thinking the Browning may even be better. (Well, maybe.) The Hi Power is the best looking pistol made, IMO. Wish I had one.

I read it as PN but upon second look it is PM. 1980 it is.

Beautiful and a great find. The first centerfire pistol I ever bought was a Browning Hi-Power Mark III-S in 1989. I had it tuned by a local gunsmith with some competition parts installed and it shoots great. It is one gun I'll never sell or trade.

The underside of grip panels should have orange finish and mag follower should be aluminum alloy. Gun like that usually brings over 700 in my neck of the woods. In addition to those features "first post WWII pre-Browning FN batch" also had internal extractor and thumb slot on front right side of slide.

Well, it's not in the $400 Jim Hoag modified BHP category of screaming deal, but it is a smoking deal for a 30-plus-year-old BHP in that kind of condition. Congratulations on your find, and thank you for sharing.
