It delay's the revolver and the AR-15 I've been wanting but oh well it was cheap and with this hot summer weather I've been wanting something I can just throw in my pocket for carry instead of IWB (although I think if I got that little belt clip attachment this thing is tiny enough that I wouldn't even notice it IWB).

I've never had such a cheaply made gun. The plastic/polymer frame on my Glock puts this thing to shame but I still like it.... especially for the price (I paid $199 for it).

As far as pocket carry, I've already tested it with a couple of different pairs of pants and with one pair the pockets are just the right size to where it gets stuck at the bottom and takes a good bit of maneuvering to get it out. Anyone have any good suggestions for pocket carry? I'm thinking about getting that belt clip, then I could either clip it to the inside of my pocket or go IWB if that's just as comfortable.

Put at least a couple hundred rounds through it. If you don't have any problems then you'll know you have a good one and can trust it for carry. If OTOH it does give problems send it back to Kel-Tec, and tell them you don't want it back until it works.

Regarding "stuck in the pocket"....

Are you using a pocket holster? If not, the pistol tend to work its way into its widest position--turned 45 degrees--and use muzzle and grip as hooks to stay there.

If you use a pocket holster, the holster keeps everything oriented properly, and let's the grip slide right out.

Mr. Hedley makes a very good P-32 pocket holster. If you can't afford any better, an Uncle Mike's No. 1 is only $10, and works just fine. In fact, you can modify it to hold a spare mag, too.

Thanks for the suggestions on holsters. I'm going to have to take a look at both of those. Is this an Uncle Mike's No. 1?

As far as how it shoots, I couldn't tell you. I haven't fired a single round through it yet. I should get a chance to take it out tomorrow.

On cleaning this thing, can I get away with using the kit I have for my AK's (7.62mm). It seems close enough to me and will save buying a whole new kit just for this little thing.

Watch out for rim lock. My P-32 worked fine with HP for about 150 rds. I figured rim lock was an overstated internet problem. But then it happened to me, not what I would need in a real SD situation. Now I only use ball ammo.

A few thoughts

I carried mine for 3 straight years without the belt clip. I used an Uncle Mike's size 1 soft flexible pocket holster with one of the seams partially clipped out. ($12.00?) That took care of the aligning problem in the pocket.

You'll know right away if you got a good one; if yours feeds, fires, and ejects a variety of ammo, nooooo problem. Just keep it clean, lubed, and as far as a possible rust problem. Mine did not have a speck of rust on it, even after carring it around in the hot, humid Atlanta climate.

You will love the way it fires, lightly recoils, stays on-target, and it's general simplicity. I liked the light smooth trigger pull and it never seemed long to me.

I carried FMJ's in mine; didn't want to even think about rimlock.

I got mine at a gun shop's customer appreciation day sale for $170. It goes thru Corbons pretty good. I hope you have as much fun with yours as I have with mine.

These are great guns, you'll enjoy shooting it, mine is surprisingly accurate, even at a distance. Very easy to carry anywhere. I made a pocket holster from a palm pilot case.

I'd also recommend carrying FMJ rounds, I had a box of HP and experienced rimlock while cycling the slide by hand, not something you want with a carry gun. Plus .2 HPs have a high rate of failure of expansion, so go for penetration instead.

I shot it last night and didn't have the best luck with it. I shot about 35 rounds and had 3 failures. Once it didn't eject the brass and the other two times it just didn't load the new round in... I'm guessing that's rim lock. I wasn't shooting the HP though, just the regular stuff (in the yellow box above).

It could of been just me though. For some reason I was shaking all over the place trying to shoot this little thing. I couldn't hit anything at 15 yards. I was lucky when it would hit the paper. I'm definitely not use to the trigger pull which takes alot more pressure then I'm use to and I had just got done shooting about 200 rounds through an AK and I think I was too worried about recoil.

When I got home, I loaded the mag a few times and cycled it by hand. Everything seemed normal. I tried it a few times with both the regular and HP ammo and there were no problems ejecting or loading.

I used to have a P-32 but mine had accuracy and reliability problems. I had the belt clip for it but I ended up taking it off. It was cheaply made and got bent out of shape easily. I would definately go with a holster.

Yeah, limpwristing is definitely a high possibilty. I have had that problem with my Hi-Power also. It has jammed a few times while shooting.

I've also got a Glock 27 and was shooting it yesterday too. I guess it is just a really forgiving gun when it comes to limpwristing. I probably have over 1,000 rounds through it and have NEVER had it jam. Last night no problems with it either... well, except for me not being able to hit anything I aim at :).

I had a guy tell me once that I was gripping too tight... So I've kind of been trying to relax my grip a little more since then but I guess I shouldn't do that with the Kel-Tec.

Something I learned a long time ago: always shoot the small caliber guns first when you go to the range. If you shoot the big boomers first, your nerves will be ragged by the time you shoot the small stuff, and the hand shaking will be obvious.

that was not a rim lock... you will know it if it is a rim lock. You would not be able to strip the offending round off of the mag.
