I have one, but no longer use it. On your side, they work good enough, but I am more comfortable carrying in the small of my back. Once upon a time, about two months ago, I had been in the car for an hour or so when I got out in a crouded grocery store parking lot. I was in the habit of "checking" the position after sitting, but before I had the chance, I felt it fall into my shorts.
I froze, it flipped around a little and fell on the ground just as a car passed. I put my feet around it and bent over like I was tieing my shoes, recovered it, and moved on. I've been a little wary of the clip ever since.
Now, I did have it only attached to my shorts, not to a belt and that probably made it less secure. Also, if you do go this way and decide to carry in you back, get the left-handed clip if you are right handed and vice versa to get the draw correct. Try it and you'll understand what I'm saying.
