Thanks TwoNiner,

Both are pretty hard to come by here in la-la land.
I like both your .44 & your Montana Atlas. I still get up to the mountains for fly-fishing every year. In the Big Sky State, the .44 is the minimum amount of gun.

I had to get rid of those hogue rubber grips that came on the 4 inch model. I actually found these wood grips to be more comfortable when shooting my reloads of 2400 and 240gr bullet.

I am not having the problem with the sight pin it is staying in place as it should

Here is a review I did of it when it first hit the street.

Beautiful .44 revolverguy!

gearchecker, I plan on going to the Tobacco mountain range in MT for a week of camping (south of Butte). There are no state park campgrounds where we are going, so you just pitch camp wherever you can find a spot. Lots of hiking trails surround the area, some of which lead up to glacial lakes. After that we may head to the the Bitterroot mountains or glacier country. I really don't have my itinerary set at this point, I just know that from my guidebooks I will be in bear & big horned sheep country in the Tobacco spot--both in camp and on the trail.

It may just be me, but I have been noticing that all of the S&W .44 snubbies have adjustable sights. What is the point on 2-3" barrels? Do you really need them? I've never shot a snubby with adjustable sights so I'm curious if others find them to be of value or just in the way.
