Picking an "heirloom" gun

By heirloom, is it just for you or do you plan on making it a family legacy? When mom passed away, I got a small amount of money, which I decided to put towards her last ...gift to me.

Just for me. Just as in your case, this will be like Dad's last gift to me.

I don't own any "black rifles", ARs, AKs, or PCCs, and have never really had a hankering to get one, but I think the Scorpion would make a nifty range toy.

If its a "What the heck" gun then you owe it to yourself to take a chance & broaden your horizons!

I had an itch earlier this year for a PCC and my qualifications weren't difficult to meet. Well reviewed, shoots cheap ammo and takes Glock mags.
So, for my birthday in June I bought myself an Extar EP9. Fun range toy, not expensive, takes Glock mags, yada yada.

Ever notice we get ourselves the best presents?

I just don't see anything from Henry being a Heirloom rifle. I'd hang out at gun shows looking for something used.
