Now that you have viewed them what are if any of your Observations that you would like to pointout? I have one but I'll wait to see if others are seeing the same!
In the early weeks of this deployment, the BS from Washington was that the NG would not be armed and patrolling, but would be doing some clerical work and providing taxi service for BP agents.
If the deal is to be observing and not arresting illegals, I'd be on high ground and sure wouldn't be using that blue beacon. That camo-tent dealie isn't what I'd be using as a sun shelter, either.
If patrolling is to be done, the camp guard is gonna be a lonesome fella. If no camp guard, there wouldn't be anything there upon return, most likely. Or, at most, empty coolers.
My basic reaction is, "Hmph. City folks out in the boonies." I've been watching that sort of deal, now, for over thirty years in my own little chunk of desert...
I don't see any illegals in the area, so I consider it MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
They have mag pouches on their body armor. No web gear that I see. Also, they have no canteens Need to stay hydrated! Oh yeah... the NG drinks that high quality bottled water.
What is that, some kind of OP or something? Like 3 people, a crumby tent and a HMMWV? No antenna for comm on the hummer nor do I see anyone packing any kind of comm gear or under the tent. No lights set up so it's a temporary position and there is no way they got enough gear out there to stay long... probably some kind of photo op rather than a real OP.
The minutemen would do a better job than those NG turds.
Everything about it screams security theater... This is something to get voters to vote so that folks can loot more government coofers. Has nothing to do with actually doing anything constructive.
