I finally got around to taking some pics of my Steyr M9 that I picked up a few weeks ago. Got it for $279 from CDNN Investments. The Mil-tec holster was only $9.99 from the same place as well. I love the Steyr, shoots great, fits my hand like a glove and with the addition of a Hogue Handall slip on grip is just about perfect.

I didn't even think about getting a CZ75, but now that I think about it, I get these thoughts of selling/trading in my Steyr to get a CZ75 so that I can get a .22 Kadet kit for it and practice all day long with cheap .22 ammo. But I just can't sell this Steyr, I like it too much, not to mention the fact that the M series are now out of production, so I got one of the last ones made (high serial number). I guess I'll just have to get a CZ75 and Kadet kit down the road, so I can have one polymer gun and one as it should be.

I have considered one of these....whats the reliability factor here? I don't know much about these guns. Quality of a _________?

Fill in the blank, I wanna know what you think.

Aside from some ejection issues in the earlier serial numbers, some people maintain that Steyr has "built the better Glock" with this model. It's basically a Glock, Tenifer and all, with a better trigger, manual safety (if you care), even lower barrel axis, and a more ergonomic grip.

Of course, it doesn't have the wide variety of aftermarket parts and holsters of the Glock, the sights are kind of funky (but they can be replaced), you have to put your finger in the trigger guard to release the manual safety(!)(but you don't have to use the safety, you can just depend on the trigger safety like a Glock), and the product support and service may not be as good.
