I picked up a slightly used Steyr M9 from a gentleman on another forum. He had issues with the extractor as I guess some do. He had sent it back to Steyr to have it worked on. He was having FTE's on Wally World Bulk pack ammo.
He got it back and sent it to me. I just got done putting 50 rounds of Wally World ammo and 50 more of gun show reload ammo through it. No problems at all.
The gun is accurate too.
It has a very quick trigger reset and it doesn't need to travel very far forward to reset. That took some getting used to. Cool gun for the money.
I put a hogue handall on it and it had a fine grip feel too.
I am a happy camper. Time to pay a visit to HBE and have Eric make me up a holster :D

12 Volt Man, is this your first Steyr? I thought you had one already.

Are you going to put a metal guidrod in it?

I took one of my old neutered M40 mags and pinched the lips on it so it would feed my S9 and was able to get 13 rounds in it. I also did the same thing with a S40 mag and it will hold 12, that makes for a total of 13 rounds in a fairly small package. :D

Now the only problem is deciding when to carry the S40 and when to carry the S9. :uhoh:

If I can find one at the show for the same price CDNN has them, I would probably pick it up, I guess I can never have enough polymer guns! :D It is always in the back of my mind just like the 9mm 1911, and Beretta/Taurus 92 series gun.

Good to hear it works for you!

12 Volt, Ill need the gun for at least a week and at least 2 boxes of ammo for ............holster making purposes!
Im sorry I missed the shoot............soccer dad duty! :D
Sounds like a shooter and no worries about gun leather......
Shoot well.............

This is my first Steyr. All of the guide rods we have built from specs supplied by a member here. I am looking forward to making one for this gun.

Only a week? No problem. I now have a CZ 40p for each hand to play with while you have the M9
