This is in the corner of my tiny man-cave/den: Closet door closed...

Ignore the mess... still trying to figure out what needs to be where.

This was going to be a laundry closet with a stacked washer/dryer, so it was wired for 110 and 220 (so I could run a 220 tumbler or something if I wanted I guess). My buddy salvaged a few solid core doors from a doctor's office renovation, and gave me one. I cut it to fit, mounted it on some 2X4s screwed into the studs, and vie-ola... instant reloading bench. It's VERY solid with zero flex, even when sizing.

The space is deeper than I can really use, other than for some storage at the back... I need to get some shelves or something. The space is pretty tight. But when actually working there's enough room to do everything. With the trimmer removed the Redding powder measure mounts there at the front of the bench.

I just put in the Bair single stage press tonight... I've been trying to get it to work with the RCBS primer pocket swage kit but I'm still working out some bugs.

Yeh... I was trying to figure out how I could mount a pivot-out shelf for the scale that would be solid and level enough. That would help. Shelves on all surfaces would help. :D

I strongly suspect you will outgrow the shelving you may put in there. My stuff currently sits on a 36"w x 18"d & 6'h Gorilla Shelves. Two shelves alone are brass (turned into a brass whore), one shelf of completed rounds and bullets, one shelf of primers & powder, & one shelf for books and miscellaneous equipment. My press sits on one corner of my home office desk (pretty solid).

Looks good. Line the walls with shelves. Most only 6" deep. Maybe some top ones 12". The more space you have on the bench the more clutter you accumulate, and therefore not any more usable space than you have now. You can always store bulk items in the garage, etc.

Agreed with some shelves, but you know that already. As dickttx said, you can overflow your supplies in the garage or other parts of the house. Keep the closet simple for what you need for the current reloading job. It's a great start, more than I've got.

That's awesome! I started reloading in January and my only space was a closet - 36" wide. I also used 24" cut off a solid core door on top of 2x4 legs. A very SOLID bench, like you said. I only reload one caliber, so it works so far. Thanks for posting the picture.

I would screw the presses to board(s) and clamp them with C clamps, like the case trimmer.

Then, when the wife is gone, you can come out of the closet, and reload on the coffee table in the living room while watching TV. You can even clamp your presses to the kitchen table.
You could clamp your presses to a shooting bench or the tail gate of your truck.
