Mmm, guess I need to add this one, my first crossbow kill, or any kind of bow kill, actually. Took him last week of bow season just under my tree stand. I posted on this earlier, so you may have seen it already. When the birds finally get down here, might have a few duck or goose hunting photos. .....I hope....
Me, too. One can smoke or grill pork without worry of being tough. One can grind pork without adding fat for the sausage. But, I need venison for my jerky and chili meat.
That big one is a boar so we will brine him for several days and then grind him into sausage.
There were also two sows about 100 pounds each. They will be turned into all manner of delicious pork.
