Pictures of your range shooting wounds

Today after a cease fire a newcomer said he took at hit to the head from one of my 10mm brass casings. Sure enough he had a nice little cut at the top of the forehead We talked a little and I showed him a little scar I have on my left hand from a .38. It was a guy shooting next to me his revolver must have been out of time and cast off some metal. I felt the burn and when I looked at my hand a piece of metal was stuck to the skin. I will post a picture of it tomorrow but was wondering what others have for wounds?

My wife had a nice burn on her lip from a kid next to us shootin his Glock .40, she wasn't to happy with him bout it, but it's always fun to see her get riled up.

No pics, but I've stuck 9mm cases between my glasses and temple before. For the record, blisters there suck.

Additionally, I've had lead splatter come back off of steel and draw blood.

glocks always seem to throw casings in every direction.

I had a nice semi-circular burn on my cheek for a week once, courtesy of the big AR-10 in the next bay at my local rifle range.

it seems that .40s launch cases pretty far. Mine always has, factory ammo and my reloads. As far as being mad about getting pinged by a case now and then, that comes with the territory of being on a firing line. I've been hit by cases plenty of times, but none ever left a mark. I got some splash from a steel target, but it didn't break the skin.

My wife had a burn on her chest in the perfect shape of a .22 casing.

She caught a bounceback 30/06 slug in the shin that drew blood.

'bout the only gun injuries for me so far are cuts from cleaning. My wife's SIG SP2022 managed to open me up every single time the first 4 or 5 times I cleaned it.

I have a tiny little "H" on my right hand from being bit by various handguns over the years. I have big hands, guns without a deep cut backstrap, or beavertail tend to attack me.

I'm sure I've got burns down my back from casings bouncing off the divider wall at the range. But I can't see em.

Got some unburnt powder a couple of millimeters under the skin when shooting my KLCR the first time with .357's. That's just the way I was raised though, if it hurts I won't do it again.

Standing behind my mom as she is trying out her Sig P238. No matter where I stood, the case hit me. I took a few to the head and a couple down the sweatshirt.

The worst blast I've felt on my face from any gun is my Dad's .22 taurus revolver.

skribs.. I burnt the hair off my trigger finger on one of my old mans pocket guns... muzzle flash from a 22lr.. this thing had to have a 1" barrel or less, no trigger guard, 1 finger grip.. hated it. I didn't feel I could hold it safely.

Getting a freshly fired case pressed between your skin and a kevlar vest during a timed course of fire is a PITA. No picture though

This one's not so bad, though this is many years old, and when it was new it was quite a sight.

This was from the very first time I shot a revolver. It happened to be a percussion black powder revolver

At that point in life I had never been told or thought about gases escaping between the cylinder and bbl (as I said this was many years ago!), and decided to steady my aim by supporting the gun in that no-no area around the cylinder -duh-

Man I had a handful of blisters for a while, all up the edge of my index and pad of my thumb too. Not only that, but I had just under a dozen unburnt grains of powder embedded in my hand too. I had 5 or 6 in my index finger, and another 5 in my thumb. I know the grains were unburnt, as all but one eventually grew out, one of which I examined after I 'helped' out with a sharp pointy (clean) knife.
This one's still in there about a decade later, to remind me never to do that and to make sure that anyone handling a revolver also knows that!

Don't have a picture but a .223 case landed in the crook of my arm after bouncing from the backstop we use at our range for semi auto rifles. Nice little burn!

So far nothing terrible. I thought someone may have mangled a digit holding a revolver wrong or a bad slide bite. I didn't have a band-aid to offer the poor fellow and if nothing else this brings it to light that I need to throw one of the first aid kits I have in my bag as a permanent addition.

Here is where the piece of hot metal stuck to my skin. Kind of hard to see but it is a scar on top of the vein. I could only imagine if it had hit the vein

I poured hot brass from an M60 down the shirt of the guy next to me one evening. He was not pleased. Ever seen a guy jump up in the middle of a "fire fight" and dance around like he was on fire? And it was just training, we were using blanks. Later when he pulled his shirt off it looked like someone had burned him with a hot poker in 8 or 10 places. Hey, don't flop down next to the 60 if you don't want to go deaf and get burned...

I was wearing a pair of crocs at the range once and had bras from. 9mm fall between the top of my foot and the croc. Holy hell, that hurt. I even did a little dance to get it out...lol

sorry no pic...my range wound was a cut on the forehead from a scope on a new tikka 338 win mag. took it to the range to sight it in and simply didn't prep correctly for the shot. It kicked just like a light 338 should, and gave me a half-moon shaped wound from the rear of the scope. bled like hell. thanks to some e-room super glue you can hardly see the scar...but I know it's there.
I've always been very serious about gun safety, but clearly wasn't thinking about it enough that day.

Had a GE mini-gun on the black hawk above me open up, that hot brass came down in a wave of heat and pain!

Last trip to the range I had made some new loads for my .30-06 featherlight that were just a tad bit hotter than the previous loads I had made. Well like a dumb dumb I was ready for the added recoil and took the scope just above my brow. Luckily no permanent marks except to my pride

I don't have a scoped rifle but do they make those little rubber pieces to go on the end just in case?

No pics, but long ago using some of Uncle Sam's toys, I had a piece of .45 acp brass stuck between my glasses and the side of my nose. That darned blister drove me nuts as my eyes constantly tried to focus on it.

I also had a piece of 5.56 brass go down the back of my fatigue shirt and leave a red welt half way down my back. And folks wonder why I hate righthanded firearms. Thank heaven's for Randall and Stag.

no ones ever been hit but the brass from my fal will fly 20+ feet. always have to be on the right side of the range.

Like KCAce and rtaylor02, I've had a couple scope hits, but I've also had a couple slide tracks cut into the web between thumb and fore finger - both hands. Talk about being embarrassed!

I bought a new 30-06, scope, flip up covers and rings. Took it to the range to sight it in. I fired the first shot, and my world went red and blurry. The lever to flip up the cover hit me square on the bridge of the nose.

Hurt like hell and took a chunk of skin with it. I tried some stuff my wife had called Nu-Skin on the wound:banghead:
I don't recomend it for anywhere on your face.

I took the cover off and never put it back on.
