pinnacle powder in revolver?

The other night I bought a pound of powder. The label said GOEX so I grabbed it not realizing it also said REPLICA BLACK POWDER. So before I open it and get stuck with it, will Pinnacle replica BP work well in my 1851 navy .44? BTW it is fffg.

In a word - Yes.

Use the same way you would fffg BP. Other than the smoke smelling different, you probably won't notice the difference. It cleans up with plain water.

While I don't use it in my C&Bs; I do use it in my 44-40 rifle ammunition and am quite pleased with the way it works.
