Pistol Caliber Carbines sighting range

If I had one I’d zero it at about 85 yards. That would in theory keep elevation within 2” above or below the target. I figure the gun will hold a couple inches and I’m about good for a couple more so maybe I can keep it within an 8” circle out to 100 or so. That’s how I zero my rifles. This would likely work the same.

I have scopes on my PCC'S. There all zeroed at 50 yards. My 9mm and 10mm hit well at a 100 yards with minimal hold over. The 45 groups best for me though. Here is a grouping test i did. The 40sw are low. Because of a new load i was working on.

25 yard zero is definitely the way to go with a 9mm. It gives you basically point blank range out to 100 yards. It will be within about an inch from 15 yards out to about 75 yards and 3 or 4" low at 100.

Because of the bullet rise you will actually get less drop at 100 yards with a 25 yard zero then a 50 yard zero.

Here’s what I picked up. It’s an Extar EP9. I’ve had it to the range a couple times and it’s a tack driver at 30 yards. This thing weighs in at slightly over 4 pounds empty and probably closer to 5 pounds with the 33 round mags loaded. I’ve put about 250 rounds through it so far and no complaints. I dropped an EO tech sight on it and I am in love with this thing so far. Tight groups, no recoil, fast shooting; just what I was looking for!
