Neither.
PCCs have all the disadvantages of a rifle AND a pistol. If I am having to carry and handle a rifle, I want the added advantage of greater muzzle energy.
If I got one of those absurd revolvers chambered in 30-30, or even a Thompson Center, I would have the power advantage of a rifle, but the disadvantage that it's tough to aim them will enough for the power and added range to be an advantage. (It is for me at least.)
It's a free country. Do what you want. And I am frankly dazzled by the array of accessories that are out for the Ruger PCC, 9mm ARs, Scorpion mods, etc. Especially if you want one for fun shooting and something that won't beat up new shooters, I can see the appeal. Just WAY far down on my list.
The closest I come to either is my grandfather's M-1 Carbine.
