Pistol Scope Advice Please

I little advice please, folks.

I have a Ruger MK II with the 10" Bull Barrel. I am thinking about adding a scope. The Pistol is not drilled for a scope.
I would like some advice on scopes and mounting systems.

Consider me a complete novice in this area.

Since it's not drilled and tapped for a mount you could try this one:http://www.jackweigand.com/rm2fd.html just scroll down to the second one listed. I have one and while I've heard some say it sits the scope to high, I don't think it does. I have a Tasco PDP 4 red dot sight mounted on it and it's one of my favorite shooters. I'll get a picture of it up tomorrow.

I have a set of SOLOWs (w/ UltraDot) on my MarkII Target and can recommend them highly.
