im looking to save on shipping with powder, shot and projectiles

ive been to three places where with shipping it was a little cheaper to buy online but they had a limited supply of stuff (ie 2-3 kinds of powder and a few calibers and weight of bullets) are there any places to check out in eastern nc for powder shot and projectiles?

How close are you to Va? Bobs guns in down town Norfolk is the best priced in the area. There use to be a guy in Curituk but he is closed now.

pretty far im like 4-5hours ish not sure when i make the drive i dont even count its depressing to think about that much time

start shopping online and eat the shipping/hazmat..... Ed's in Newport carries limited powder and primers.. Flatwoods in Hubert most powders hasn't really had primers in months... call ahead limited bullets...... powder will run on average $3 to $6 over on line primers $6 to $10 and I am being conservative
bullet selection is non existent.... During November I hit every gun shop from Morehead to Myrtle Beach looking for Primers and Powder Bass pro had a few at something like $5 a hundred thats $50.00 a 1000 over twice Graf's and Powder Valley........

It got to the point that I gave up burning gas and stopped at Graf's in Mo during Christmas vacation and dropped a grand at thier outlet

whats your location paintball

Gander Mnt in Fayettville or Bass Pro Shop in Myrtle Bch. Both are WWWAAAAAAYYY over priced. Better off ordering online.

dang my big thing is shot for my shotsells that lead is expensive to ship

and reverend field and stream in new bern has cci primers for 3.19 per 100 for the large rifle and like 2 sumthin for small pistol but they have no brass or bullets and maybe 1-2 things of powder

i dont like eds ive been treated crappy every time ive been there i think its since im 18 and look about 16 i got there one day like 20 mins before they closed and as soon as i went to open the door the guy locked it and slid the metal gate down so i wont shop there anymore

any clue how much reloading stuff b&r in havelock has? i saw some before i reloaded so didnt pay alot of attention

what shops are in morehead?

what about greenville?

im in new bern

edit:

im on natchez and i saw this about the hazmat fee

"Hazmat shipping fee applies - $22.50 handling charge per 50Lbs. "

does this mean if i buy 1 pound of powder i have to pay 22.50? the damn powder is only 20 its self!!!!

I forgot about Field And Stream in New Bern......

I would google something like greenville+reloading and make a decision on who to call and see has the best deal, with the price of shipping you sure can drive some distance

If you can handle steel shot Graf's is hard to beat with their shipping and handling in my opinion

this fall I just got tired of dealing with the locals on rifle reloading supplies and their markups.. and lack of components!!!! since I was driving cross country I ordered on line @ Midsouth, graf's and Midway and picked it up at thier warehouse ......

thanks alot reverend

field and stream has a decent selectionf or guns considering they are a small shop but they will order you anything they dont have used guns though i just had them order me a marlin xl7 .30-06 and its great

i think i may head to guns unlimited in ayden in the next few days i have been told they have a good selection of stuff (plus i havent been and want to :) )

Have you gone to your local shotgun club and see if they sell shot, or if there is a group you can go in on an order with?

Most heavy shotshell users that I know, (myself included), buy erclaimed for practice from the gun club. Buying in huge quantities keeps the shipping costs down

not yeat im going to the range this weekend to see what they have since im down to one pound of rifle powder and running low on .30projectiles

Check your local gun club. The one I belong to in Durham does group buys - that means I get Midway prices with no hazmat fee.

Mackey's gun shop in Jamesville. I was in there last year at one point. They had a variety of reloading stuff. Prices were way on the high side though.

I don't know if they are even still open.

They had a heck of a gun inventory.

dwhite i stopped in in august and was kicked out for "not being 18" i showed them my id it was the day before my 18th birthday so they are never going to get my bussiness

if im spending money i want to be treated nice thats the only shop i have ever been told to leave

I go to the local gun club meetings. I'm not a member, but someone is always haulling in guns and reloading equipment to sell for cash... and cheap! Last month I scored a 8 lb can of un-opened Win 231 for $100.

And the dinner is $5 while I wait for the deals to show up!

Lots of bullet makers include the shipping in the price of the bullets, so don't let the weight of lead set you off buying direct.
