Anyone know of public land in KY where one can hunt hogs? Like a WMA? Any and all input is much appreciated. Any info on TN would be great too. Thanks.
This is based on reading and not experience so take it for what it's worth, but the Big South Fork NRA on the KY-TN border supposedly has a pretty big hog population. They have some sort of provision for hunting them and I think you can do it year round because hogs aren't a regulated game species here.
Contact Kentucky Fish and wildlife with a phone call or an email giving your name and address and they'll send you a packet with a bunch of public areas for the little piggys..
I know we are pretty much unrestricted when it comes to hunting boar here in Ky, they are considered a pest species. A basic license is all that's required, and I think the only rule was that you have to kill them on site as transporting them live is illegal. That said, they are non-existent east of I-75 corridor from what Ive seen.
