Any chance you guys can help me out?
I have been trying to figure out the value of this having no luck. From what the seller is saying???
P-14 SPECIAL EDITION PARA ORDNANCE OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM TASK FORCE SABER SPECIAL EDITION 1911 45ACP.
PARA MADE THESE ONLY FOR THE SOLDIERS IN IRAQ, TOTAL MADE WERE LESS THAN 300.
THE TF SABER LABELED GUNS ARE LESS THAN 60 MADE EVER. THIS GUN IS A PIECE OF AMERICAN HISTORY ALREADY.
IT IS UNFIRED AND COMES WITH TWO MAGS AND THE CASE IT CAME IN,
IT ALSO HAS NIGHT SIGHTS AND A UTILITY RAIL.

Never heard of it. There is such a thing as Task Force Sabre, but I saw no mention they use Para Ordnance pistols. You can put nonstandard markings on a gun and offer it as a "special edition" any time you can get up an order that interests the company.

Do you want the physical specifications of this gun, do you want the Kewl Factor, or do you think it will appreciate in value from an already high asking price?

I was wondering if it would be worth $1500.00 that's what he is asking, I have talked him down to $1350.
I am trying to find as much as possible about it for the price he wants.
Thinking I should back out?
Some one else told me these can only be purchased by Special forces for $700.00

I believe these are of a series sold by ParaUSA to members of military units. They are purchased by the individual and not by the US Gov. It allows the member to buy a pistol with their unit information on the slide. It is a double column magazine (P-14) Para. The ones I've seen are in coyote brown.

I would guess they would be priced approximately the same as a similarly equipped P-14 unless for sentimental reasons you were a member of the unit at some time.

I wouldn't buy it since it has unit info to a unit I'm definately never been part of (I've never served).

If it was a typical SE, sure...but much like I'll never own militaria that wasn't mine or my family's ,I'd pass this up.

It's a commemorative gun made for purchase by members of the unit it commemorates. Its value, beyond sentimental, is no more than the gun retails for. I'm not familiar with ParaOrdnance retail values, but you shouldn't pay any more than the going price for that model.

They sell them for roughly $850 to soldiers. They also give you the option of a tac light (I dont think its surefire) for an extra $100 or so. So, if you are paying anymore than about $850 you are getting screwed.

THIS GUN IS A PIECE OF AMERICAN HISTORY ALREADY.
IT IS UNFIRED ...

Unfired part of American military history huh?

I'd pass.

The only people who may place additional value to that pistol would be members of TF Saber and the Mall Ninja community. Skip it.

They SHOULD really only be worth what they went for new. If it has a unit someone belonged to then it may have more value to that particular individual.

I got my greedy meathooks on a Pararescue one a few years back when I was in the Air Force. I was not a PJ but it was as close as it came to my own AFSC.

The Pararescue ones are rare and I have seen some high asking prices on them. There is one on GB with an asking minimum bid of 1200. Maybe worth it maybe not. I paid less for mine.

I ended up giving it to a PJ I served with when he got back home.

Here is a picture of a similar one.
