Doc, I thought Armalite was the company that invented the AR-15? Or was it Colt? I'm confused on my AR history.

Armalite invented them, but couldn't sell them to anyone. They finally gave up, sold the whole mess to Colt. Colt sold them to everyone. Armalite then folded completely and was bought by Eagle Arms. Eagle uses Armalite name to sell their guns.

However, I think Colt has exclusive rights to the name 'AR-15' ironically. (Eagle/Armalite calls theirs 'M-15', but they call their .308 the 'AR-10' which they do have rights to)

Here is my Bushie 16" A3 carbine with a carry handle installed and an ACOG on the handle. It shoots nicely.

That is an Aimpoint Micro H-1 on a LaRue LT660 mount which allows a perfect cowitness with the irons and weighs next to nothing.

16" midlength CMMG barrel on a Bushmaster upper/lower. RRA Trigger. CavArms A1-length stock (USGI A2 buttplate though), Magpul MIAD grip and CavArms fat midlength handguards. This is a frankengun I built up from spare parts I had sitting about. Handles very nicely; but my eyes limit my effective range with irons these days.

on my A2 Stag lower ($239.00) with w Larue Irondot/Burris fastfire holosight

Here is my registered full auto lower sporting a Bushmaster A2 upper with 14.5" barrel, Knight's 4 panel handguard, Knight's vertical foregrip, Bushnell Holosight, collapsible stock (sorry it isn't the A2 stock!), and a Beta-C mag. She's a lot of fun.
