I was wondering what the "Ruger mark III" 9mm equivelant is. That is, it's accurate enough for beginning competition, more accurate than I can hope to shoot for a long time, durable, and not too expensive.

Candidates are: Beretta 92fs, Beretta 90-two, CZ 75b, SIG 9mm, I think it's the 226, and possibly the g17, but I don't think that will be that accurate.

Thanks!

Take a look at the Glock 34, it's an outstanding value and one of my smarter purchases.

How accurate is the g34?

Browning HighPower
Would prefer somehing in DA/SA, would this have any advantage over the Berreta or CZ to offset that? Higher quality, more accuracy, lower price, etc.?

Okay, I think I've put another gun on the list, the sig p6, west German surplus. Will Sig Sauer still service those, even if it's at my expense?

9mm Options

I know there are a lot of strong feelings about the Beretta 92fs (some simply because it replaced the 1911 as the U.S. military sidearm), but I have been very pleased with my 92. I've put about 4000 rounds through mine without a single malfunction. Easy to shoot, reliable as the sun coming up, accurate, and simple to breakdown and clean. It won't win any popularity contests with the Glocks and Sigs, but it will perform. If you can step up in price I agree with the earlier response that mentioned STI. I have an Eagle .45 and it's a dream. The STI Trojan in 9mm is an outstanding weapon. I've shot the lomgslide version and it's a tack driver.

Jimbo, I was just going to suggest that if you are looking for a budget 9mm, the p6 is the screaming deal right now.

I haven't bought one yet, but have talked to many happy owners. I understand each one has been checked before sale and they are factory serviced - I did read that they will take them back and do service/refinish work. Can't recall where I read it, sorry.

Can anyone tell me the single action trigger pull weight on the sig p6? Or the Berreta 92fs, and the CZ-75?

Also, how accurate are g34s?
