Pocket 9mm Auto ???

Other than the Kahr and Rohrbaugh brands, are there any other "true" pocket 9mm's available.

For example, can the Sig 239, HK P2000SK or the Walther P99c be used as a practical POCKET CARRY 9mm auto?

I can speak to the Sig 239 - you'd have to have pockets like Captain Kangaroo to use it as a pocket auto. Too big.

Check out the Kel-tec web site...... they're making a new single stack polimer handgun thats touted as the lightest and most compact 9mm.

Skyy is making one the same size as the Rohrbaugh, but $600.00 less. Skyy said it would be realesed this spring. Ck their web site.

Kel-Tec should be shipping their new "flat" 9mm shortly. It is dimensionally all but identicle to the Kahr (PM9 I think). It is still slightly larger than the Rorbaugh, but lighter.

It all comes down to what's a "true" pocket gun. My Kel Tec P11 will fit in a coat pocket, but not my jeans. I have some slacks I wear now and then that it'll fit. None of the nines are as small as a P3AT or NAA Guardian. To me, the top caliber of true pocket gun remains .380 ACP with the possible exception of the Rohrbaugh if your name is Bill Gates.

I'm no Bill Gates and I have two Rohrbaugh R9's. It's just a matter of whether you want the best tool for the job ie: true pocket carry in a 9mm, end of story. Go ahead and spend your money on numerous guns trying to find comfortable pocket carry or just take the money, save up, and get what you need. You won't regret it.:banghead:

Some people will not buy a gun that costs more than $500 (or some other arbitrary amount) yet they own dozens of guns, many of which reside in the safe most of the time. I've never understood this line of thinking.
I 'd much rather have only a few very high quality guns than a truck load of cheap ones. But that's just me.

I have a Kahr PM9 and consider it the perfect pocket gun. I've stayed away from KelTec because of QC concerns. Not a problem with a Kahr.

Viva la differance. I've never understood why my wife needs 50 pairs of shoes either. I have a truck load of "value priced" guns with only a couple of them that would be considered cheap.

There's no need to understand us collectors, just be happy that we keep the market active for the rest of youall. poppy

I carry a Kel-Tec P-11 in my front pocket. You do need a good holster like a Mikas or an Uncle Mikes.
