After all the posts where I claimed that it makes sense to pay $250 extra for the 12-ounce 340, I decided to try and pocket-carry my 3" steel model 60.
I just folded the bottom of a cheap Gunmate IWB holster for a 4" revolver to serve as a pocket holster. I can't say it was uncomfortable. Someone looking closely into the pocket of my khakis could probably have glimpsed the top of the grip. But getting it out was also easier. It surely felt more comforting.
Now, with a 24 ounce gun you definitely need a belt. Try to tuck it into pyjama pants and it will not work as well as 12-ounce 340 - so I am keeping the 340.
In fact, I would probably carry that one anyway - never know when you might need a backup or a loaner...
