My usual holster company for the past 10 years recently went out of business, so I am looking for some information. I am in the market for a pocket holster for my Walther PPS (original). I am running into one or two problems.

Primarily I want a holster that fits the PPS and a TLR-6 sized light I have on it. And most pocket holsters do not accommodate lights. I also would like, but not mandatory, an ammo carrier attached to the holster. Like what the Ammo Nemesis by Desantis does.

The ammo pouch is optional as I have other places to put a spare magazine. Fulfilling both would be ideal however. Any recommendations from the crowd?

After nearly a dozen pocket holsters my favorite is the DeSantis super fly. It might be a little small for a PPS... I don't have a good feeling for the size of the PPS. The fly/flap on the super fly does a great job hiding the outline of my DB9 and it stays in my pocket oriented properly when drawing my gun.

I use a PCS "Blackbird" leather pocket holster and a pocket spare magazine carrier by Ryan Grizzle leather.

Take the light off your pistol. You'll never use it.

Except I have. I am a firm believer in weapon lights and that isn't going to change.

This looks a little roomier than the DeSantis holster you linked. Maybe fits the light? LINK to holster.
I like that one. I will have to measure my pants pocket to see if it will fit. Being a cargo pocket holster it might be too big for where I want it. But right now it is the best option I am looking at.

Tell us sbout the circumstances in which you used your WML. Thanks.

No. Because the use of a weapon light is not what this/my thread is about. Your opinion isn't going to change based on my experiences just like mine isn't going to change based on yours.

I did look at the holsters you recommended. He does nice work. Light aside, they won't work for me though. He only makes holsters for the PPK and TPH models instead of either PPS. Neither of which I have and the TPH isn't a good caliber for SD anyway.

Here is my pocket holster rig and it works great for me.

Of course, I'm going to ask how much of that sticks to the gun when you do repeated quick draw practice in a simulated panic?

My ol' shootin' buddy has a first gen LCP, which came with a crappy pocket holster that comes out stuck on the gun. My friend insisted that he practices pulling off the holster after he gets his gun out of his pocket. Which of course turns a hand gun into a hands gun.

My Ruger LCP Max came from Ruger with a crappy pocket holster that sticks to the gun on every draw. I figure Ruger throws in a useless holster to try to distract the buyer from noticing the lack of a spare magazine. So, the Max goes in an old Recluse holster that stays in my pocket.

And I have a Hunter leather holster for my TCP, that I trimmed as needed and it stays in my pockets.

For revolvers, I still have an old IWB leather holster that I de-clipped and trimmed for pocket use. Plus, I have an Azula J-frame pocket holster trimmed as needed and they both stay in the pocket during a draw.

It all comes out in sequence hanging off the gun and is intended to freak out the perp so he loses his train of thought giving me the advantage.

No, seriously, I have done some dry practice and it does not come out, the cardboard is against the gun and fairly slippery and the leather is so that the smooth side is over the muzzle. Even if it comes with the gun it is like a clamshell and should readily drop off. I wonder if the leather were left on and the gun shot, would it affect the path of the bullet.

The bullet will blast right on through, with the biggest problem being not able to see the sights on at least the first shot. The bullet path situation would really be a problem of not being able to use the sights with a hunk of leather stuck to the gun.

That's a lot of gun to be pocket carrying. Is there some reason why you can't carry it on the belt inside the wasteband?
Aside from that I think you will have to find a custom holster maker to be satisfied.
