2 questions actually, did the police service six ever come with adjustable sights, and is the grip size the same as a k frame smith?

I had found a picture of a customized service six with adjustable sights but its the first time I've seen one with them so I can't help but wonder if this was an addition of some kind

thanks for the quick reply, now while the question is on my mind, what is the difference between the security and service sixes?

The short version, ignoring stocks, barrel length, caliber, and oddball variations, etc...

The Security Six was the original model and had adjustable sights - except for some the made with fixed sights.

The Police Service Six had fixed sights and was introduced shortly after the Security Six.

The Speed Six was basically a round-butt Service Six.

police service six ever come with adjustable sights,

That would be a Security Six, and no, K frame grips are different. There are a good selection of after market grips of the 'six' model Rugers. There is a split in the ones needed by serial number.

I have a picture of one that clearly says police service six across the side of it and it has adjustable sights, at the same time though it has a python barrel so I'd have to assume it was an after market job from someone from tk customs or the like.
