S&W model 10. Should have it next week. Not necessarily for CC, just to help keep the residents of the gun safe company and for my kids to target shoot with.

Just two weeks ago, I picked up a police trade-in for the wife. I got her a S&W 5903 with case, 15-round mag, and trigger lock for $348. We had four at the gun show to look over, and this one was the best of them all, with very little wear, and looks like it hasn't had a lot of rounds fired through it. One of the guns to choose from had the edges filed more round and LOTS of holster wear. The 9mm police trade-ins seem to be cheaper than the 40's, but if you can rummage through a few of them, you can find some really good deals on trade-ins on guns that aren't even broken-in, yet. I really like the wife's 5903. It is DA/SA and both trigger pulls feel really good. The weight and balance of the gun is pretty nice, too.

Other: Got a SW 5906 Police Trade In from CDNN. Except for some wear on the Plastic grip (bought a new one on Ebay for 10 bucks) the guns was mint. Almost looked like it was unfired. It's an excellent reliable shooter and one of my favorites.

Why are the only options SIG? Not that I have anything against SIG, but I'm thinking there are a few other good options out there......

because i really like SIGs. :) i put 250 rounds through a rental P229, and i gotta say, i LOVE it. i think i like it even more than the P220. thanks for your advice, everyone. now i just need to get a real job so i can buy more guns :banghead: :p

Last month I picked up a police trade-in 4" S&W mod 66 (no dash) for $200. It's in excellent condition and has MUCH life left in it. It has the recessed cylinder face and pinned barrel. The rear sight is blued, not stainless, but it's a beauty, nonetheless!

Last year I bought a Sig 229 in 357 Sig that has become my carry gun in a Wild Bill No Such Agency. A Sig Pro in 40 that I gave to a son. A Sig 225 that I didn't like because if I'm going to carry a nine it will be a high cap. I sold this one for the down payment on a Bushmaster M-4. After I get the M-4, next week, I'll put a police rebuild 226 on lay away, this one in 9mm.
