Do you keep more than 1 loaded gun in the bedroom at night? 1 for the wife? Multiple? Long arms and pistols? Multiple pistols?

Is there such a thing as too many?

1 pistol for me, in the nightstand, something to pick up and walk around with. 2 pump shotguns, one for me and one for the GF. Nothing fancy.

Two, sometimes three handguns. Two are always loaded. The third's got an empty chamber. When the rifle's with me, it's got a mag locked in and the chamber empty.

I don't expect to need three. I just like to keep 'em all in the same area, so I know where they are.

BTW: Can you get a thermonuclear device off Ebay?

My carry gun sits on my night stand while I have another in the night stand drawer. Same thing for the night stand on the wifes side of the bed. I guess I need a gun safe.

.45 Colt revolver, Glock 36, Khar PM9 and Mossberg Maverick 88 at bedside or very nearby. All chambered and ready to go.

4 yappy dogs at various locales in the house for early warning.

Getting my first AK 47 very soon.

Left over from my Boy Scout days....................Be prepared.

Something to think about

You didn't give an option for I have faith AND a gun. That said my carry weapon is on my night stand my wife's is on hers and JIC things go really wrong I have a loaded revolver IN THE SAFE. ( As in if the BGs force me to open the safe I've got one last shot at going out in a blaze of glory

Three loaded handguns, two loaded shotguns, a loaded rifle (Mini-14), and sometimes a loaded Class III UZI.

I either keep them around my bed, in my bed, or in a safe (which is bolted to the wall and floor) near my bed.

I'm never going to get killed for a lack of being able to return fire.

1 Mossberg 500 20ga with light and spare ammo on stock for now.

Wife is firearms challenged/recoil sensitive so thinking about adding a 9mm Hi-Point carbine with flashlight and/or laser for her (simple, inexpensive-"don't spend a fortune, I'm not a gunnut"-low recoil-low maintenance, just use a pullthrough occasionally per the manufacturer, and from what I've heard from others, pretty damn reliable). Everything else is in the safe.

My wife and I each have a handgun on our side of the bed. I used to keep a Mossberg 500 propped up in the corner but I just took it out because my son (just turned one year) is able to get to it now.

one xd45 or gp100 and a pistol gripped 870. I carry the XD45 so it remains loaded and the 870 has a full magazine tube and a combination trigger lock.

I used to keep one or two handy-cocked and locked-until my daughter becme mobile and very interested in the world around her. Now I have one(always) and frequently another stored in condition three whithin reach. I figure by the time she's big enough to operate the slides she'll be big enough to understand the consequences.... I've also got a Border Collie alarm system as well....

Does the Master Bath room count? If no tthen I only have 1, if it counts I have 3

Well I didn't count my wife's safe. Duh. She's got a bunch but most of them are not loaded.

Back when I lived in Berkeley, I was living in a street level apartment with a big glass window. So I had a handgun loaded, with a surefire light attached, ready immediately. Then in my locked closet (which doubled as my gun safe) I had a remington 870 and FAL ready to rock and roll. Here in the middle of nowhere the threat priorities have changed and I'm more worried about unauthorized users than I am home invasions. So I keep a loaded handgun, a loaded FAL and AR-15 mag, in my quick access safe. That way, given 10 seconds, I've got a pistol, and given 30 seconds, I've got a pistol and a rifle.

nope guns get locked up in the safe. Especially with children around.
Same here, but I found a good compromise between safety and easy access to my handguns with this, which I keep on my nightstand. Instead of the electronic keypad, I primarily use the key lock. When I go to bed, I put the key (which is attached to the rest of my keys on my key chain) in the lock, that way I can easily open it in the dark without worrying about fumbling with the PIN number in low light. And when I leave, the key goes with me with the key chain. And I still have the option of opening it with the PIN, which both me and my wife know.

xd service with m6 locked and loaded on the night stand, 870 locked and loaded in the closet, and a mag in my ar under the bed no rd in the chamber.

The carry 1911 is on the nightstand, plus The Boss' GP-100 on HER nightstand, plus the Mossberg 500 in the closet, plus two or more SA revolvers, usually the Vaqueros, or the .41 Mag Blackhawk. ( I live out in the sticks, and we have BIG mice!)
