Someone mentioned that the Shield 45's barrel is a little on the short side.....

That's a Honey right there...

Better yet, in .40!

I’ve always been enamored with the concept of a single stack .40. I’m not aware off the top of my head if there ever was one, but ohhh what a dandy little punch that would be.

6+1(7+1) .40/ 4" Bbl./ 20.4 oz.

For my piece of mind I'd stick with my double stack G30 since I know its reliable. Glock with the G36 is like Beretta with their Tomcat in .32acp. They keep making them and refusing to admit there is a problem.

BS.

Have two, Had three, shoot w/ another two regularly.

All 100% reliable.

They're Glocks... like any other Glock.

They just had an early development glitch.

Move on.

Another recommendation for the Shield here.
Mine has been perfect so far, and it fits my hands.
I've got the 9mm and .40 versions too, all great little guns.
Probably something better out there, but I haven't tried it yet.

I was digging through old garbage and it reminded me what a dumpster fire my Kahr P45 was. I remembered that it hit the followers with the barrel, dropped magazines, and misfed from factory mags. But I safely forgot that once in a while it would chew its own recoil spring. So much for full-length guide rod.

Well I stopped by my favorite shop for the second time in one week and dang if I didn't find an XDS45 for $354 ! I am very pleased ! Functioned great and is extremely thin and caries very well. This was very awesome considering that most shops and people are scalping people by jacking up prices on guns and ammo where I live.

Great for a "carry a lot... shoot a little" pistol at a very good price.

Suggest "+P" carry ammo for the short, 3.3" Bbl.

Buddy had one for a little while and liked it, but couldn't get used to the recoil impulse for regular shooting.

Swapped it out for a G36 after shooting mine - and was very pleased with the change.

All - were 100% reliable.
