Pool balls for reloading press handles

Who hasn't used a pool ball. I made a bunch of replacement Co-Ax Press handles using a pool ball; sold them on ebay years ago. Works great.
Yep, the one I got from you is still on my Co-Ax now and used often. Thanks again!

I like it much better than the factory handle which forces your hand/wrist into a rather specific postition.

I looked on ebay and they have a bunch of them listed for just under $10.
Doubt if they are drilled & tapped.

I might have bought the one I have from you, years ago, for the shorter handle. Having stroked Dillon's hundreds of thousands of times over the decades, I found the larger ball, less comfortable.

Pretty personal choice though, what is unpleasant to some might be soothing others and you won't know until you try it. I did the same thing with roller handles and "strong mounts".

I do still have it though. This is it beside a 550 ball

Yes. Not the easiest thing to drill a hole in, Especially for the lee handle that has a taper to the end. Put some epoxy in there, It's not moving! Color coordinated.:)

I like roller handles better. I have a couple of Lee presses with factory roller handles. Those work great. I bought an Inline Fabrication roller handle for my RCBS press and it sucks. I can't pull the handle without torquing the threads. The lock nut they provided is super soft. The way the handle screws into the casting, an offset roller handle is just a bad idea. The press comes from RCBS with a ball handle. That's what I use now. The Lee handles do not thread into the press, so there are no threads to be torqued. One of them, the roller handle is supported on both sides, so it does not apply any torque to the pivot point. For handles that do, a ball is a good idea.

I had an 8 Ball shifter in HS in a '69 Nova that I rebadged as an SS (Chevelle badging), since I'd shoehorned a 454 under the hood, and I used a few fake ones I bought at truck stops near home to replace weather/sun rotted knobs on tractor shifters and hydraulic controls around the farm. But it's been a long time, I'd kinda forgotten about them, to be honest...

I'm kinda wondering if that generation where this meme is popular is too far on its way out? We don't really see skull shifters either as much any more. Hell, Marvel even dropped the Punisher skull...

Billiard balls come in different sizes. Both Dillon and Hornady ball handles are under 2”.

My Redding Boss press came with the bicycle grip and I hated it. It now sports a green 6 pool ball and it’s perfect. I’ve made half a dozen or more shifter knobs using helicons inserts and my Craftsman drill press has 3 8 balls on it after the Sears knobs cracked and broke from age.
