I owe Valkman a review of his knife. It rides on my night rig with the CZp01 which hangs in my closet. I have used it's BOZ heat treated CPM154 a bit around the ranch and for cutting bar b que meat. It will not stain obviously and is my only (almost) stainless knife and the only one I use. It needs no blade grease. It was not quite razor sharp when I got it but it held it's edge well and I touched it up fairly easily and got it 800 grit razor sharp now. I would not rely on this knife if I thought it would let me down in ANY event, and it is my 1rst go to sticker. These knives are sub $250 CUSTOM made knives and are way

My go to night rig not in a safe: CZP01 which is crazy accurate with Winchester Ranger +p+ ammo and takes a light too! It has a forged Aluminum frame so is pretty light weight. The Valkman fighter is right there on the other side with the mags and light and the package is nicely balanced and goes on in seconds!

That was what I struggled with the most in knifemaking, getting them sharp. Now that I have a Wicked Edge system I could do much better! Sorry about that, and glad it gets used.

Gordon, that's a heck of a set of compliments and I hope you use the heck out of it.
My biggest regret is that I can't seem to get more than one of these done a quarter... but I'm working on it.

(As an aside -- yes, keep it oiled, but I've been un-scientifically testing a bunch of 5160 in my damp basement and it seems to resist rust quite a bit better than some other well-regarded steels.
I think I could actually watch rust grow on 52100, for instance. That stuff needs a coating!
