Yes, that is a bolt hold-open on my AK.

Saiga 223

My Saiga 223. I took the easy route and made it 922 compliant by adding Tapco US stock/pistol grip and the US made Surefire high cap mags. I wanted to do the work myself with minimal effort. Didn't get the trigger changed or moved, but it feels good and balanced to me. I like it.

The Chinese Poly-tech AK, a real military spec. rifle, the LOP is obviously for someone of smaller stature. Standard stamped versions came two ways, either with a straight stock or folding copy of the German MP40 design. Both utilize a folding spike bayonet and threaded muzzle.

The Saiga was a lot of fun to convert, other than trying to get the friggin' cotter pins onto the FCG pins when all was said and done.

Anyone have the Romanian style pistol grip on the foregrip on their AK?? Looking at that LaRue pic I wonder if the front pistol grip wouldn't possibly get in the way of the magazine during insertion/removal?? I was thinking of getting that style of foregrip, but may have to rethink that unless it's a nonissue.
