i think people will post anything just to jack up there post count, i wish there was no counter for posts. who cares how many post you have. the only plus i see to it is you might think that some one offering advice who has a lot of posts might be more credible, however they probly have just posted a bunch nothing to get all the posts on there counter. it seems like every time i post a thread like "show me pics of your..." i get 3or4 guys right off the bat who dont have pics nor do they own the gun i want to see pics of, but they try to offer info that i would already know if i was wanting to see pics of that gun

with that said i just needed to vent and i also realize that this thread is just another post on my counter that realy has nothing to do with guns and if YOU are one of these guys that i was talking about it nothing personal its just a little anoying thats all

Wouldn't you be doing this same exact thing? A person that posts to rake up their count would post very small amount of words. No one is looking at their post count, you seem to be the one stressing over this.

im not stressing like i said i was just venting i over it its just a little irritating when you want the beef it seems like all they wanna give you is a salad

Hundreds of people visit this website every day. Many of them are exceptional. We have those who are IPSC Grand Masters. Those who have shot thousands of rounds through iron-sighted rifles at distances the average human would consider impossible, and have the Distinguished ranking to prove it. Men who've trained SWAT Teams and the military. People who've spent hundreds and thousands of hours not only on training for self defense, but bringing their own knowledge, experience, and thoughts to the table. Men who've taken every form of dangerous game on the African Continent and what it means.

Here's the crazy bit: Every single last one of them is willing to share this information free of charge.

And yet, for many here, THR as a place not to come and learn or to come and share experiences, knowledge and understanding, but as a place to b*tch about how unrealistic the gun handling in the new movie with Angelina Jolie is. Or to come and gripe about how the NRA sends them too much junk mail. Or how Walmart is oppressing them by asking what sort of firearm they intend to shoot.

Instead of spending time actually learning something about shooting by spending time at the range, competing, or dry firing, or taking direct political action for the RKBA, and then bringing that information here, the forums are filled with, quite frankly, some utterly asinine content by people who really ought to know better.

But then again, I guess it's just more proof that Theodore Sturgeon was right.

"90% of everything is crap."
