1) 3" airweight N frame,44 spl with fixed sights,RB
2)3" M-28/628 with a RB frame in 357 44spl,45 colt.

FA level of quality, 10mm single action with bird's head grip. Probably a Bisley style hammer spur. Frame and cylinder sized to 10mm length and diameter (6 shot would be fine). Adjustable sights and tapered barrel of 3" - 4" should be plenty. Matte stainless or nicely blued. No Ti or Al alloy involved. Should weigh in at about 32 oz or so.

1. How about Ruger making FA style 5 shot single actions in "big" cartridges, but priced around Rugers current linup.

2. I'd like to see a modern design single action breaktop revolver that can handel "serious" pressures. I think the problem with this isn't so much that it's undoable as there's no demand, and it would have to be much larger and/or heavier than comparible single actions. failures would also be much more violent than in gate load revos, instead of a nice bulged frame and split cylinder you'd probably get something like the barrel swinging down and off and into your crotch.

Another vote for a strong, modern top break that takes moon clips....45acp or 9x19,21 or 23.

I also like the 44sp in an SP101 idea....:D

Bring back the S&W Model 27 as a regular production model (not a PC model, please), so I can get a 4" bbl. to go along with my 6".

N Frame

N- Frame blue 5" in .30 Carbine Smith made a few prototypes and finish it like a M-27

First; produce a 10mm Rimfire. It should be just slightly superior to the 40S&W. Produce 2 rounds - both of same bullet weight. One with economical lead bullet - one Premium round with Jacketed or Nylock Hollowpoint.

Second; Produce double action, 5 shot, revolver for same (Ruger?) with 2"-3"- & 4" bbl.

This weapon system would be designed for the countless folks working in Security/ Law enforcement who never reload. They need a simple belly gun they can afford to practice with (when using factory ammo).

A 5 shot 10mm would be powerful enough for the application, and slim enough for easy carry/concealment. :)

I want an N-Frame 22. 14 or 15 shots should fit in that big cylinder.

S&W can make it out of their super scandium and titanium alloys to keep the weight really low. Their 7 shot 357 is 12oz so maybe around 18oz or less with a 4" barrel?

Toss in an extra cylinder for 22 magnum and I'm getting out the visa card!
